Is "Bodywork" the same as massage?
Generally, massage refers to a full body, Swedish style "rub down". However, people us the term "massage" to mean many different things. Bodywork makes use of some massage techniques, but is usually more specific and therapeutic in nature. It is more common in bodywork to do a more thorough assessment and to design sessions for the client's specific therapeutic needs. Posture, chronic pain, injury or surgery recovery, improved function and athletic performance are some of the more common uses of "bodywork".

What do you mean by "Transformative Bodywork"?
This bodywork used is has a clear relationship with the nervous system and the thinking habits of the mind. Transformative refers to the ability of the bodywork to aid in a deep change in thinking that brings about a calming of the mind and body, allowing for insight and creativity to bring about positive and generative changes in day to day living. 

What kind of "Coaching" do you do?
Originally trained in Total Person Facilitation in 1983 - 1987, Craig began practicing what would often be called coaching in today's world. Training in Neuro-liguistic Programming, Belief Change, Holographic Repatterning and much more deepened his practice. His coaching facilitates clarity and understanding that generates profound realization of one's True Nature, Purpose, and lasting transformation. Leading to wellness, healing, personal empowerment, resourcefulness, and peace of mind. 

What is "Medical Massage"?
Medical Massage has several different meanings. Our's refers to where and what  bodywork and massage techniques to do to aid a person dealing with a medical condition or disease. Calming the body and helping to keep the client out of "stress mode" greatly facilitates the healing of ant injury or disease. These sessions are designed specifically for each client's condition.

What does "Visceral Manipulation" mean?
Visceral Manipulation refers to massaging or releasing tensions and restrictions in and around the abdominal area and the internal organs. Sometime known as "the abdominal brain", this area holds and reflects the stress in our systems and responds beautifully to our specific and thorough massage there. This work helps improve the function of the internal organs and is know for helping many organ area conditions like: constipation, digestion issues, stress reduction, hiatal hernia, and even some infertility issues.

What is a "Trauma Session"?
Trauma Sessions are about deep stress reduction. The stresses we experience can range from the simple day to day events, to chronic attitudes or the lingering physical discomforts from a car wreck. These sessions help reduce the stress responses in the muscular, nervous, immune, and energetic systems. The body/mind is "released" from stressful patterns that disrupt well-being and aid in healing, physical comfort, physical performance, and peace of mind.

What are the benefits of bodywork?
Bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Bodywork is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.

Should I consult my doctor before getting a bodywork session?
If you have or suspect you have; serious pain, serious injury, serious illness, or are seriously concerned about your health in any way, then, yes. If your condition is concerning to us, we may ask you to see a doctor before we can begin a session. Many medical professionals understand the bodywork we do, but if needed, we are glad to discuss our work with them.
